Hitchens writes on the difference between the evils of atheism and the evils of religion: "Humanism has many crimes for which to apologise. But it can apologise for them, and also correct them, in its own terms and without having to shake or challenge the basis of any unalterable system of belief. Totalitarian systems, whatever outward form they may take, are fundamentalist and, as we would now say, 'faith-based'."[WHAAT??? TO SUGGEST POL POT AND MAO WERE BASICLY MEN OF FAITH BUT JUST FUNDO IS THE MOST ABSURD COMMENT OF THE NEW MILLENIUM
