I quote:
For he shall rescue the poor when he cries out,
and the afflicted when he has no one to help him.
He shall have pity for the lowly and the poor;
the lives of the poor he shall save.

The inevitable question arises: How does God assist those seeking His help?
Our Father selects His helpers asking them to become His outreach into the lives of those in dire need of His practical assistance.
God also expects those of us seeking His help to participate in His plan providing us with the very help that we are seeking.
Divine Providence will invite us to become a follower of The Father's Spirit, living in the life of every human person.
Because of our good works, by his grace He helps us all the more: Thus we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper’” ~ Hebrews 13:6
The Epiphany is much, much more than the visit of the three wise men at the manger where Jesus was born in poverty. An epiphany is a sudden, even dramatic awareness that we are being called to live our life in the care of The Saviour. Paul of Tarsus experienced his epiphany on the road to Damascus where more mystical events would open his eyes to a new life shepherded by The Helper.
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. ~ John 16:13
