5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,
“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?
8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.
9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it.
How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!
There will be moments, even lengthy periods when our journey appears bleak, filled with uncertainty prompting us to doubt the directions our innermost inspiration is offering us leading us out of the darkness, into the light where all will manifest its reality per Our Father's plan for our well being.
Patience is the awareness that during our most distressing periods we embrace the support flowing into our thoughts inviting us do all that is being asked of us, by The One leading by His hand through the many difficulties attempting to divert us from God's plan for our life's purpose.
“. . . it is presumptuous in me to wish to choose my path, because I cannot tell which path is best for me.
I must leave it to the Lord, Who knows me, to lead me by the path which is best for me, so that in all things His will may be done.”
~ Teresa of Ávila, Interior Castle
My own long experience has taught me, and is teaching me that Our Father never lets go of our hand, when we confidently trust Him to reciprocate in kind by supporting us even when our doubts are driving us to surrender to our fears that we have lost our way.
For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” ~ Isaiah 41:13
