“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Wise counselling flowing into our thoughts, inspiring us to take a particular course of action, registers the presence of Divine Wisdom leading us through what we may perceive to be insurmountable challenges. That remedy may well teach us that taking time, and patience to listen to our heart (our interior voice) speak to us of His love for us registers more than fine words. Those words provide their listener with all the advice they will ever need to extricate themselves from their apparently intractable trouble.
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst;
but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life
~ John 4:14
Our relationship with The Father is a daily process of developing understanding, taking us our lifetime to grow trust in Our Father's intervention in our decision making.
We know from our daily experiences with our family, friends, acquaintances and those whom we love deeply that there will be moments of doubt, when we will question the wisdom flowing into our conscious awareness.
Our Father recognises our reticence, reserve if you wish to commit one self to a particular course of action that may not chime with our own wishes. It is then Our Father will enter into a dialogue with us, explaining in some detail why He is encouraging us to take His advice.
Over time our trust in Our Father's counselling develops sufficiently to trust Him without needing to question that guidance.
Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
