The recorded history of the mystical, or the ineffable presents us with events that can appear overwhelming even difficult to believe.
Most of us live with experiencing an incident, or more that we prefer not to discuss for fear of being judged eccentric, even weird. Those meaningful occurrences are predictably tailored to assist our needs, at a time when we are directionless seeking a remedy to all that troubles us.
On a much more amusing level a French aristocrat, and diplomat visited Padre Pio at his friary, spending some hours conversing in private with the simple Capuchin friar. On leaving the friary the French diplomat bid farewell to the abbot, noting with national pride that Padre Pio was fluent in the French language, even speaking with a French accent.
The abbot responded that Padre Pio was born into a family of simple country folk, receiving a rudimentary schooling...and spoke one language...Italian. The French diplomatic not wanting to disturb the friary's welcoming atmosphere remained silent.
On his return to France the diplomatic was interviewed on television, declaring that Padre Pio was fluent in the French language, spoken with a French accent.
Our Father has a sense of humour when reminding us that our mysterious encounters with the Divine Presence are more often, or not much more down to earth revealing all that Our Father grants us, becoming His outreach into the lives of people He introduces to us, serving His plans.
There is a rewarding awareness among those of us who have experienced mystical events, encouraging us to follow the counselling being offered to us through the Divine Mystery intervening in our life's journey.
