“ But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
I have been approached very many times, over my long life by the faithful asking me, why is God taking so long to deliver on the promises He made to me within my thoughts, clearly understood by me, yet, unfulfilled.
Patience is God's gift to us, enabling us to cope with the daily challenges that all must face, growing our resilience to all that attempts to destroy our confidence to continue facing our life's daily trials. Here lies the dilemma for many faithful people fail to understand that throughout our every day The Father is providing us with assistance enabling us to transcend the troubles knocking at our door with persistence.
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” ~ Isaiah 40:31
In our relationship with The Father, He will daily remind us that His timing is perfectly calibrated to ensure that we benefit each, and every day from all that He is teaching us, while we are patiently waiting for Him to deliver on that special promise He has made to us...leading to more promises, when He asks us to reciprocate, by becoming His outreach into the lives of those people He introduces to us. to assist with all that Divine Providence supplies to us, to enact The Father's plan into our daily life.
2 Peter 3:8-9
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness,
but is patient toward you,
not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
