38 And they will be for me a people, and I will be for them God. 39 And I will give to them one heart and one way, to revere me forever, for good to them, and to their children after them. 40 And I will make with them an everlasting covenant that I will not turn away from them, my doing good to them, and my reverence I will put in their hearts so that they will not turn aside from me.
Of late I have been referencing The Covenant that Our Father provides for every human person to participate.
A contract is legally binding, whereas a covenant is a spiritual agreement. A covenant is a perpetual promise, made of our own free will between the believer, and The Father with faith, and trust underwriting the Covenant.
“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.”~ Deuteronomy 7:9
The question arises how does a Covenant with God arise.
We will be approached by Our Father, per His methodology, usually our inner voice inviting us into relationship with Him.
Should we vow to enter into a Covenant relationship with God, we will rewarded with all that a loving father provides for His beloved child.
We, will be asked to reciprocate by becoming The Father's outreach, into the lives of those whom Our Father invites us to assist.
Divine Providence will supply us with all that we will need to help those being invited to sit at the chair next to us, at The Father's Banqueting Table.
Growing faith in Our Father's Covenant relationship with us takes time, and growing patience with His interventions in our decision making ensuring that we are kept safe, enabling us to do all that He asks of us. The trusting child will learn day, by day that their rewards will deepen their faith, and develop patience beyond that which is considered rational by the casual observer.
Agree with God, and be at peace, thereby good will come to you.
Receive instruction from his mouth, and lay up his words in your heart.
