8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.
Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Our friendship with God is founded upon His promise that He will guide us through the ebbs, and flows of our life's passage with the undertanding that His timing reveals all that He promises us. We may then appreciate that it is not our expectations on the timing element that will deliver all that we are promised.
“God never hurries.
There are no deadlines against which he must work.
Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves.”
~ A.W. Tozer
Our Father transforms us day, by day into His beloved child enabling us to more ably deal with every trial, and tribulation crossing our path. We learn from the experience of growing trust in His wise counselling entering our conscious awareness, that He is leading us through our daily life of developing self awareness.
Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you, I wait all the day long. – Psalm 25:4-5
