But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth.
He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
Many of us have experienced those moments when our thoughts are filled with the face of a particular person, calling us by telephone a few minutes later filled with enthusiasm to share some good news.
Wise sages inform us that Our Father's timing is calibrated to provide us with all that will enlighten us, into knowing that which invites our participation in His plan for our life's journey.
God's timing, and our patience are so often out of sync in as much as we want matters attended too on our terms, rather than patiently wait for Our Father to grant us the gifts that He promises per His perfect timing, flawlessly designed for our well being.
As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.
~ Luke 8:15
I often reference here the Prophet Job's dilemma waiting for The Father to deliver all that He had promised Job. Despite his daily conversations with The Father, often filled with bitter "why me, Lord" requests to deliver on all that had been promised by God, Job remained faithful growing in wisdom day, by day the result of trusting in Our Father's promises per His timing.
For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.~ Hebrews 6:10-12
