I quote:
Brothers and sisters:
Since we have been justified by faith,
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom we have gained access by faith
to this grace in which we stand,
and we boast in hope of the glory of God.
And hope does not disappoint,
because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

In today's readings we note the response of Moses to rising discontent among his fellow Israelite former slaves en route to the promised land.
Moses asked The Father for help providing water for his parched tribe of desert wanderers. Using his staff Moses tapped on a rock that gushed forth a torrent of water. The miracle was sufficient to assuage the anger of the Israelites supplying them with all the water they could drink and carry.
Most of the time we fail to note the small miracles entering our life, providing us with all that we need to address our necessities of whatever nature.
“Nothing can seem extraordinary until you have discovered what is ordinary.
Belief in miracles, far from depending on an ignorance of the laws of nature, is only possible in so far as those laws are known.”
― C.S. Lewis, Miracles
The miraculous is always with us, even those curious synchronistic accidents of chance leading us on a path that we had never planned until the opportunity presented itself as if to say, take this road...not the one you had earlier planned to use. The highly rationalistic Albert Einstein wrote with the benefit of his many experiences facing life's challenges... "Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous. "
Too often we look for miracles representing all that appears contrary to the laws of nature, such as The Fatima event and the dancing sun.
A noteworthy, and disinterested party miles away from the massive gathering of the faithful, crusing at sea also witnessed the dancing sun.
The captain of a British warship on patrol off the Portuguese coast noted in his ship's log book that he, his officers, and crew had witnessed the dancing sun. The ship's crew would become aware of the Fatima miracle some days later, when the ship had berthed in Lisbon.
Miracles are not contrary to nature, but only contrary to what we know about nature. – St. Augustine
