I quote:
For steadfast is his kindness toward us,
and the fidelity of the LORD endures forever.
end quote
The narrow gate is our entry into the life provided for our well being, revealing The Father's plan for our life.
Scripture is poetic in its desire to teach its reader the meaning concealed behind the metaphor of The Gate. The "Eye of the Needle" was a narrow gateway into Jerusalem. Camels carrying goods into Jerusalem needed to discharge their loads, enabling them to pass through the narrow entrance. The analogy provides us with the understanding that we are invited to share our possessions with those in need, to be accepted into The Father's life. Sharing our life's gifts with others does not imply that we are reduced to poverty, rather that The Father supplies us with all that we will ever need to enact His plan into our life.
For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
