Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
10 I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.’
11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that I will bring about;
what I have planned, that I will do.
Coincidence has that particular flavour rendering chance its favourite outcome to all that we were not expecting. Not anticipating that inexplicable moment when chance just happens to reveal its hand may well focus our attention sufficiently to understand that providence supplies us with all that we need per its timing. I am saying that those chance encounters, those moments when our life provides us with a unexpected, and fortuitous surprise is orchestrated by divine design. Music is a great joy for me making it easy to refer to Our Father, as The Great Conductor of our life's passage through time when we choose to tune in to His composition for our life's journey.
Here I have often cited the theories on synchronicity of Carl Jung, the son of a pastor in the Swiss Reformed Church, and student of Sigmund Freud. I started studying the theories of Carl Jung by chance some 15 years ago when opening a You Tube BBC TV (1) interview recorded way back in the late 1950s that I had watched at 12 years of age when first broadcast, with absolutely no understanding why I was viewing such a high brow programme at such an early age. Many years later I came to understand that my viewing of that interview was not by chance.
When we make our requests to Our Father, or The Father informs us of His plans for us during our daily, or occasional contemplative moments....we will also receive Our Father's clear guidance, that His plan will be enacted according to His timing....not our expectation. The Prophet Job despite bitter protests, filled with frustration over many years remained faithful to The Father, understanding that God keeps His word.,..no exceptions. Job would receive the benefits of his trust, and long patience enduring under great stress.
14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. ~ Psalm 27
Those synchronistic moments when matters come together, rather like a jig saw puzzle being completed informs us that behind the scenes there is a director at work arranging our life per His script for our benefit, and well being...when we choose to cooperate with all that He whispers into our daily thoughts.
That 1959 BBC TV interview of Carl Jung, by the brilliant John Freeman was instrumental in encouraging me to do more than accept my growing understanding of The Father's influence on my life at face value. I began to cooperate with Him. My journey of self discovery continues through my friendship with The Father showing me the way to live my life, per His plan for my well being.
