I quote:
Love is patient, love is kind.
It bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.

Today's reflections are focused on sacrifice of self, to serve love.
Self sacrifice is often understood to be an irrational decision, inspired by ones heart.
The heart of the matter is metaphor for the indwelling presence of The Holy Spirit inviting each of us, to let Him lead us through our life's journey of self discovery. Lead Kindly Light.
The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves. – Victor Hugo
The wise teach us that love cultivates us, never dominating our freedom to choose.
Our decisions remain within our grasp, when ever love intervenes inviting us to follow His path until our journey's completion.
As a child living with my great, grandfather John in Swansea I was constantly confronted by a colorful print of the sacred heart of Jesus, hanging over the living room mantlepiece. The message was clear...I love you, in spite of your many frailties. When we acknowledge our many flaws, a door opens and love enters our life, guiding us through the highs, and lows of our life's passage.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life.
~ Psalm 143:8
