Today's readings have a particularly poetic feel to them proclaiming the presence of The One witnessing to our life's journey,
Spiritual poetry emerges in response to the ever present questions of human life... mortality, transience, also known as our journey of self discovery filled with joy, remorse, suffering, and the eternal question...why am I here.
Politics enters the scene with Pontius Pilate interrogating Jesus, attempting to understand why The Sanhedrin has handed a Jew over to the Roman administrator to answer questions. Leading Pilate to understand that Jesus is innocent of the charges that have been leveled against Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion
that shall not be taken away,
his kingship shall not be destroyed
Here the divinity of Our Saviour is being declared loud, and clear for all to understand that the divine mystery is eternal,
revealing His Kingdom present in our life's journey of self discovery.
