Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
In my previous post I incorrectly referenced Gamaliel as The Lord's disciple who restored the sight of Paul of Tarsus. Ananias demonstrates his healing skills placing his hands on the head of Paul, enabling Paul to regain his sight following three days of blindness. The laying of hands might well speak of Our Father making good use of His faithful disciples to restore the health of those apprentices He prepares for their life's journey in the care of The Saviour.
During my student years I worked part time in an evening job cleaning an office, through the intervention of Archie MacKenzie a family friend. In an earlier post I had referred to Archie's posting to the India/Tibet frontier serving as a liaison officer. Archie MacKenzie befriended a community of Bhuddist monks who had taught him the methodology of what today is called Reiki. Archie used his gift to heal minor ailments in the office staff. Archie was very clear when informing the beneficiaries of his healing gifts that his hands were merely the outreach of The Father's intervention.
I have often referenced here Padre Pio's healing gifts, well documented in notaries public by the beneficiaries. There is no rational explanation that will satisfy the witnesses to these healing episodes, other than acknowledging the intervention of the divine mystery.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.~ Proverbs 3
