Job complained bitterly that he was being tested beyond his endurance. Yet he endured despite his bleating the result of trusting in Our Father's support, and love for all His children who do all that He asks of them.
Those who endure, conquer ― Motto
Conquering our easy choice to surrender to our fears, and worry that we will never endure the distress that life has imposed on us is best addressed by looking forward to tomorrow's exercise in patience. Tomorrow arrives, followed by next month, thence next year. The Prophet Job learnt from bitter experience that enduring the trials appearing before him every day grew him out of his easy willingness to surrender to his resentment, that he did not deserve to be treated so harshly. Job's resolve grew stronger day, by day sufficient for him to understand that his determination to endure his trials was transforming him into the person better able to transcend every crisis that life delivered to him.
Obstacles that by chance appear to throw us off course onto another path may well represent the plan that Our Father has provided for our journey through life. So often we like to believe that our plans make good sense, then out of the blue bad fortune intervenes, and we are obliged to rethink all that we once believed was our road to success.
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.~ Philippians 4:13
Those skills that Job developed when confronting the trials he encountered on his journey along the road of hard knocks may well inspire us to remain calm, and patient knowing that Our Saviour walks at our side inspiring us how best to cope with life's tribulations by showing us that His Way guarantees our success.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. ~ James 1:2-4
