Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
Gladness is that awareness that despite troubling times we are able to celebrate the best of times, when we make the effort to switch our focus from our sense of bewilderment at all that we hear on the evening news, to embracing Our Father's call to live life to the fullest by sharing our time with all who enter our orbit to make our journey of self discovery worth our time living just for one day at a time.
Making the transition from self absorption to assisting others is as simple as switching on a light enabling us see beyond our perception that darkness rules our existence leading to a meaningless life filled with bitterness. Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that when we make the decision to embrace the call of The Light of the world to let Him guide us out of our darkness, into better days filled with the joy of knowing that our life is being celebrated for all our life's worth.
The soul of man, left to its own natural level, is a potentially lucid crystal left in darkness. It is perfect in its own nature, but it lacks something that it can only receive from outside and above itself. But when the light shines in it, it becomes in a manner transformed into light and seems to lose its nature in the splendor of a higher nature, the nature of the light that is in it.
