I enjoy reading books, listening to radio, and television even spending time with clever people determined to persuade me that they are worth my time listening to their opinions. Often I walk away having learnt that their views are merely their theories, drawn from their prejudices suggesting that they have all the correct answers to life's mysteries.
Our own journey of self discovery provides us with all that we will ever need to learn life's most valuable lessons especially tailored for us. Then the penny drops and we wake up to realise that another lesson, leads us to the next...and the next...until we embrace the provider of our life's lessons enabling us to navigate our way through the ebbs, and flows of our life's passage.
Scripture invites us to be humble, simple and open to learning all that life is teaching us, knowing that all that is worth learning must needs be, include knowing that we have much to learn.
Humility is a door opener inviting us to come to terms with our sense of nothingness, in relation to the immensity of all that we call the universe, wherein wisdom can only be discovered through our journey of self exploration. Our awareness that we are barely a grain of sand on planet Earth's largest beach might well assist us appreciate that our speck of intellectual brightness needs polishing, by life's experiences teaching us that our road ahead is always opening for us, when we acknowledge our nothingness in the face of The Architect asking us to let Him guide us through our journey of self discovery.
