During my primary school years I learnt from my form teacher, Miss Molly Davies that it was always darkest before the dawn. In other words when life is perceived to be at its most unbearable, and darkness reigns supreme an inkling that change is underway encourages us to remain patient.
From my point of view,
God is the light that illuminates the darkness,
even if it does not dissolve it, and a spark of divine light is within each of us. ~ Pope Francis
Reminding troubled people that in the midst of our difficulties a remedy will emerge out of the blue so to speak, as if it had been waiting in the shadows for the right moment to reveal its presence, is a growing awareness that our perceived misfortunes are moulding us into wiser, and more resourceful people better able to face our next challenge.
The Father's timing is always perfectly calibrated to teach His beloved children all that living in the dark will reveal to those understanding that periods of adversity builds character.
“Adversity introduces a man to himself.” ~ Albert Einstein
Patiently waiting for the sun to rise to introduce us to a new day filled with all that The Father promises His faithful children, is the realisation of Our Father's plan to grow us out of our fear of failure, and despair shadowing those whose faith needs encouragement.
It is only through shadows that one comes to know the light. ~ St. Catherine of Siena
