Married clergy are a very evident reality in the Eastern Rites of the Catholic Church, and in the highly traditional Orthodox churches.
I do not view married priests with any thought that they are any the less committed to their vocation, than unmarried priests.
Exceptions have been made ordaining married Christian ministers who have converted to the Latin Rite church.
