. . . to equate “the presence of original sin in social conditions” with “social sin”. Original sin is still an affliction of the individual, and while it might incline large cohorts of individuals to act in similarly sinful ways, the sins are still attributable to the individuals. There is no social sin. Yes, there are “serious errors in the areas of education, politics, social actions and morals”, but if these are the result of sins, then they are the sins of the individuals concerned, who cannot absolve themselves by claiming that it is society that is sinning.
