“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever. So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen.
For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”
The ephemeral nature of human life can during troubling periods elicit a short term view of all that lies ahead, failing to appreciate that life's difficult moments are an opportunity to begin a new chapter, rising from the benefits that accrue out of the experiences that our life has provided for our well being.
Our perception of failure that has brought our life to a complete stop, is also a wayside inn where we may recover our sense of self respect, recognising the presence at our side of our greatest friend grasping our hand, whispering into ear that He will lead us safely along the road now opening up before us.
You shall walk in all the way which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you will possess. ~ Deuteronomy 5:33
Those rest stops that offer the broken person another chance to regain our self respect, are strategically placed along life's highways ensuring that those of us needing Our Father's assistance will receive all that He provides. There are no exceptions, for every human person will face adversity, calculated to teach us that our imagined failures are our opportunities to reach out, and grasp the hand of The Saviour inviting us to let Him accompany us through our life as His best friend.
Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left.~ Isaiah 30:21
