Hurrying through life can blind us to all that is going on around us, sufficient to never live a life worth our time alive. By the same token spending life shackled to a computer surfing the news sites does little, or nothing to connect with life's realities experienced when participating in life's invitation to dive in the deep end.
Our anxieties, our concerns, our fears are an integral part of our life's journey enabling us to do more than be another commentator peering out of our living room window, with righteous indignation leading us to pronounce on the many flaws of the human race.
“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” — Leo Tolstoy
Count Tolstoy did more than write engaging novels, he implemented his ideas into the daily life of his estate employees, ensuring that none lacked that which he enjoyed as a God given birth right to serve our fellow travellers.
There will be times when patience is in conflict with our perception that our plans must be implemented within an artificially created time frame, driven by our fear of failure leading us to feel frustrated, and angry that life is being unjust. Our Father invites us to relax and let Him guide us out of our dependence upon our mortal self's fears that our time is insufficient to complete our tasks.
Being guided by God's Spirit enables Our Father's friends to do all that He asks of them, according to His timing that allocates all the resources that will be needed, to implement into our daily life that which Divine Providence supplies for our well being, serving as His outreach to those He ushers into our orbit to serve.
What we may perceive as a slow response to our requests is not due to God not listening to us. God is patient with us and we in return should be patient with His plans, to ensure that our life reveals all that we are born to become.
“ In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” ~ Proverbs 16:9
