I am fond of reading the contributions of journalists, and their ilk committed to changing the world for the better, revealing the human quest to create an idyllic life filled with joy welcoming us to another day dedicated to revealing all that makes our life worth while. It is no secret that those of us seeking change for the better often over look our own need to begin with the person writing the article inviting others to become the change that they expect to see in others.
Fear is a constant companion encouraging us to wear a mask concealing our anxieties threatening to jeopardise our birth right to live in freedom from fear attempting to destroy our life. Fear also provides us with a reason to not become a prisoner of our imaginary descent into a self made hell where all appears lost in a dark, gloomy pit excavated by our refusal to accept the assistance of our greatest friend, asking us to let Him shepherd us out of our self imposed prison cell.
You suppose you are the trouble But you are the cure You suppose that you are the lock on the door But you are the key that opens it. ~ Rumi
Personal experiences teach us that our negative perceptions are the ones that will leave the greatest mark on us. It seems that when everything is going well we are barely aware of our own existence. Seem is the appropriate word here, for in reality we need those moments when life appears to conspire against our best interest, as if to suggest that we can attach blame on others in defence of our own choices.
28 If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. 29 Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest. 30 This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light. ~ Matthew 11
Negative experiences are unwelcome, and necessary to learn that life can teach us much worth learning. It is when we believe that we know it all, that life steps in to remind us, that our learning curve is vital to our survival, and well being ending only at our death.
What is done, is done is a wise adage inviting us not to dwell in the past, by starting afresh every day, to compose a life worth the lessons that the school of hard knocks teaches us to add value to our journey of self discovery.
Out of love for all His children Divine Providence intervenes to rescue us from our self imposed prison term, when inviting us to let go of our presumptions, that life is unjust for having condemned us for all the consequences that our choices have inflicted upon us.
Liberating our selves from our internalised conflicts is never a matter of regret, but of pursuing a path that daily appears in front of us as if to say, take this road...
Failures, repeated failures, are finger posts on the road to achievement. One fails forward toward success. ~ C. S. Lewis
