All are invited to sup at Our Father's table.
Friendship with God is never a matter of choosing to carry out those requests that suit our taste while refusing others simply because they are not to our liking. The quid pro quo of our relationship with Our Father is founded upon the understanding that He will provide all we will ever need to do as He asks. Divine Providence at the optimum time supplies God's loving friends with all that guarantees His friendship will benefit the giver, and the one receiving Our Saviour's assistance.
Service is a familiar word in religious matters when the faithful gather together in an assembly to further the will of Our Saviour. That service is never a matter of words alone, for actions evidencing our intentions must be enacted to fulfil The Saviour's plan for our life.
Serving is also a matter of sacrificing that which we have received as a gift from The Father, to share with those who are brought into our orbit to reflect the will of the divine mystery, that all may benefit from His benevolence.

If you give to others, you will be given a full amount in return.
It will be packed down, shaken together, and spilling over into your lap.
The way you treat others is the way you will be treated.
~ Luke 6:38
