Not all those who wander are lost; ~ J. R. R. Tolkein
Scripture tells us its stories through the vantage of travellers wandering through their life's story, as if to say that they are the outcome of The Father's planning for their journeys. Abraham is known to us as the father of faith for his journey in time enabled him to discover God's presence by trusting all that Our Father asked of him, including leaving his home town to wander without knowing where he was going.
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. ~ Hebrews 11:8
Stepping out in faith can be considered eccentric, even insane when there appears to be no known plan revealing a destination. Here lies the dilemma for many who subscribe to faith in God, yet recoil in terror when their innermost self encourages them to step outside their comfort zone.
“I will walk by faith even when I cannot see.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7
Christ's apostles soon learnt that their earlier life would be turned upside, down when the Holy Spirit intervened guiding them out of their predictable life into a world filled with all that would encourage them to walk by faith, never by sight that had hitherto blinded their view of all that The Father had granted them to celebrate their life's passage through time.
“Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.” – Matthew 11:30
God's Grace is never wasted when the recipient, the person of faith freely chooses to accept the gifts that Our Father grants to those who trust Him to provide for their every need. Divine Providence has His way of guaranteeing the faithful person the benefits, and the rewards that blossom into life when the road ahead appears less than clear, yet the trusting pioneer knows they are being led through the ebbs, and flows of life's passage by The Divine Architect creating their life's story.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. ~ Psalm 143:8
