Fear not features prominently throughout Holy Scripture inviting each of us to trust Our Father to shepherd us through our life's more anxious moments. Medication addresses the symptoms that manifest fear when facing our daily dilemmas, yet failing to tackle the causation of our worries.
“Man is not worried by real problems so much as by his imagined anxieties about real problems.” ~Epictetus.
The imagination is a powerful influence upon everything that travels through our thoughts with a will to destroy our confidence, and in so doing transport us into a world of desperate negative thinking calculated to render us unable to cope with the every day challenges that each of us must conquer to live in freedom from fear of the unknown.
Fear may come true that which one is afraid of ~ Viktor Frankl
In other words we construct that which we fear believing that our troubles are unmanageable leading us to surrender into the arms of our self imposed worries.
Self destructive behaviour is the product of our own unwillingness to trust in The Saviour's presence at our side asking us to let Him guide us out of our pit of self excavated misery, into His personal care providing us with the solution to our every predicament.
Approaching Our Father for assistance in all matters that trigger anxiety is the ideal therapy for all who treasure their friendship with The Saviour always at our side inspiring us to let Him deliver us out of our self imposed depression by following the advice that He whispers into our innermost thoughts.
My own experience over many years has taught me that when I face an overwhelming challenge that defeats my rational response, on asking for Our Father's intervention I receive wise guidance asking me to follow His advice. I have never been disappointed when choosing to do all that The Saviour asks of me.
The question arises how do we know when it is The Saviour advising us. Our greatest friend will invite us to assist another in greater need than our selves, thereby enabling The Saviour to provide us with the solution to our own problems.
Friendship with The Saviour is founded upon a covenant relationship that invites our reciprocation that we may participate in Our Father's Providential outreach to all His children. No exceptions for all are invited to His banquet.
26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. ~ John 14
