you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours

Leading by example is the teacher, above all teachers speaking silently to all who believe, that they have much to learn that words can never deliver.
Today's readings reflect Our Father's invitation to all, to follow His example when forgiving His erring children, that they may learn that forgiveness makes room for reconciliation.
Forgiveness is never an easy choice for one offended, yet, by its very purpose serves to teach the offender, that the restoration of a relationship must needs be take precedence over any thought of repaying the offender with the same coin. In practical terms forgiving an offender obliges each of us to reject any thought that our ego's response should take precedence over Our Father's choice, to forgive us for our many failings.
A noble character is always on display when we choose to reconcile, rather than imitate the worst behaviour of those easily led by their weaknesses. By this action we learn that forgiving benefits the giver, and the receiver allowing the growth of an harmonious relationship generated by a desire to live in peace with all.
“Be happy, noble heart, be blessed for all the good thou hast done and wilt do hereafter,
and let my gratitude remain in obscurity like your good deeds.”― Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo
