"And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you;
but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high."
The metaphorical language of Biblical wisdom invites each of us to understand that no one is ever denied the gifts that The Holy Spirit bestows on the faithful person content to wait knowing that all will be well, for The Father always fulfils His promises to those who follow His life creating words filled with hope providing us with good news for better days ahead.
Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of The Lord the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. ~ James 5:7-8
During our seasons of discontent and frustration there is a tendency for most of us to cease trusting the words that Our Father speaks to us in the silence of our interior conversations when He draws near to us, asking us to let Him hold our hand during troubled times when all appears lost, surrendering to our fears that we have lost our way in a cloud of darkness and despair.
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. ~James 1:22
It is when we freely choose to enact into our life everything that our inner person guides us into believing, that we are able to fulfil our purpose revealing God's life in our own.
There is nothing mystical, or mysterious in accepting the call of the Divine Presence to follow Him all the days of our life, there being a growing awareness that our faith develops day, by day through our trust in The One who even now invites us to let Him show us His way to live.
The feeling remains that God is on the journey, too. ~ Saint Teresa of Avila
When our intuitive inspiration intervenes to remove us from our self destructive behaviour, leading us into peaceful waters where we may reflect in complete safety on being saved from our self serving choices, there is also an understanding that Our Saviour is encouraging us to let Him accompany us until our journey's completion when we meet Him face, to face.
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; for I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
