There is no way the human person can be separated from The Father, for there is no other life apart from God's presence, alive in the life of every human being.
8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
~2 Corinthians 12
There are moments in everybody's life when we feel we are alone, and isolated leaving us to suffer the adversities that appear to overwhelm our ability to cope and resolve.
Our Father invites us to remain patient that He may according to His timing repair that which is causing us so much anguish, enabling us to learn from our experience that we have grown wiser, sufficiently to continue trusting in the guidance that appears out of the blue to seed itself into our rational awareness.
6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble.” ~ James 4
When we lean upon the shoulder of The Most High we soon learn that His love for each of us is shared with compassion for all who are in pain, thereby demonstrating His eternal patience for all who humbly ask Him for assistance when all appears lost, and the storm rages about us engulfing us in a pit of self pity and depression.
Trust in God's help, for He is present in our life to guide our steps until journey's end, when we meet Him face to face.
Our real journey in life is interior; It is a matter of growth, deepening, and of an ever greater surrender to the creative action of love and grace in our hearts. Never was it more necessary to respond to that action.~Thomas Merton
