Who and What is - or was - Wolfgang Smith?

Yes - I have my own copy of the one book on which his "fame" was based.

I bought it years ago - as well as my copy of Pius X's "Pascendi" [1907 "On the Doctrine of the Modernists"] - at the Catholic church in Nambour. The Parish Priest in those days was of the "Tridentine" variety.
