Kyle, thanks for your question on this site. As to where I got the "Act of Contrition" prayer, I don't know.

I have an extremely large collection of books, Prayers, Missals, Statues, medals, Catholic memorabilia and paintings that date from 1880 to the late 1950's. Most of this collection come from the U.S.A., France, Belgium and Holland.

I saw that particular "Act of Contriton" somewhere and thought I would put it on this board. I have read so much since then that I can't remember where I found that particular prayer, but it would be a prayer from before the late 1950's.

I am sorry that I can't help you more, but if I find where it came from, I'll let you know. Maybe some-one who reads this board will know the history of this prayer.
