There's a strongly sourced story going around that former Bishop, Chris Toohey, has recently married in a civil ceremony — the most interesting bit being, of course, the "civil" ceremony. Many former priests would be familiar with that territory as well. Here at Catholica we wish Chris and his new bride all our very best wishes.[OUR LOSS IS HER PAIN-IMAGINE THE TELECOPE THROUGH THE CEILING]
How long do you think that the current administration can continue to keep the wheels on the cart? I reckon they ought to be done with it — pack George off to Rome armed with a couple of Colt 45s to shoot all these aCatholics, dissenters, dissidents, liberals, backsliders, cafeteria Catholics, Catholic members of the Liberal Party, Socialist Left members of the Labor Party, Greens, women, nuns, and the bloody pooftas and lesbians who won't shut up about their sexuality and insist on 'coming out'.
