After the gala dinner, we reassembled in the ballroom at 10pm for the helper drawings. But first there was a centerpiece doll to admire:
This fashion was made by Christina Bougas, the artist behind the Clea Bella doll. It was inspired by Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” More on that later!
There were also some cute table gifts, including the wee Coke bottle—perfect for Atlanta—and some Gene-sized paper dolls and albums. The albums were perfect because inside the box was a Gene-sized turntable, made by the extremely talented Sue Conner!
Then it was time for the helper drawings. There were so many generous donations! There are always a few especially lucky people, and this year was no different! Yes, I’m looking at you Linda, Sue, and Brian! Lol!
And, yes, the raffle gods smiled on me! I won the “Gene Marshall Share the Dream” stand. I’ve been on the look out for this for years! In fact, I was just telling my sister that this was something on my “would love to have someday” list. So I was shocked to see it on the helper table! And thrilled that I won it. My sister and sister-in-law also won something. Yay!
I’m sorry I didn’t see the closing prices for the Superdoll Lucius or Khoi’s suit, both which had silent auctions. But, not surprisingly, they were popular, and I’m sure they went for some big bucks!
At around midnight, most of us headed back to our hotel rooms, exhausted, but happy, but some of Sandra’s volunteers went to the workroom to prepare for our final breakfast. Hats off to them! They did a great job!
Were these ultra-limited...just one per table? Super cute...I wish Clea Bella was still being produced!
Congrats on your wins...it seems every year there are those 2-3 people who win in hoards! Hopefully someone will report on those final silent auction prices!
Thanks again for all of your posts...th next best thing to being there...now, where is your breakfast coverage? lol
Have a safe trip home...hopefully you all rode together in a car...plane travel is a mess there according to the news!

Yes, the centerpieces were limited to six. There wasn’t enough fabric to make more. Msg
