I would like to thank everybody that has worked hard to make this season possible. A few months ago during the NFL season I spent every sunday night in a local bar watching the games wishing for a way to put the pads back on and hit. A few months ago I ran into an old friend and he told me about the lions, told me I should come out. At first I laughed it off until the following sunday at the bar at gametime. I came out and it has been a great experience. You never know when the choice to play will not be yours so I say to anyone reading this thinking about tryouts next year if you are able to come out, do it because there are people that would give anything to suit up one more time but cannot. We dont get paid but its not about that, I cant put into words what it is about but anyone that has put the pads on knows what I am talking about.
