The TX Legislation has been updated. There are some pretty major bills that they are trying to push through this session.
Here's a really big one:
HB3180 author: Thompson - Requires commercial breeders of dogs and cats to pay an annual license fee, annual inspections of their property, etc. Commercial Breeder is defined as: "A person who has 11 or more intact female animals and is engaged in the business of breeding animals for direct or indirect sale or for exchange in return for consideration." Related bill: SB1910 author: Whitmire
According to the bill, if you do not abide by the laws it will lay out, you could face a huge per animal fine.
Take some time to browse through and read the different bills. Right now they are trying to stop breeders and sterilize all of our dogs. It's a crazy session!!
