Ariel does not wake from her slumber as Kolun gently nudges her. In fact it is Marshall that awakes and he turns his eyes upon the child with his ravaged and battered soul staring at her. "Lycoris." He mumbled, the rainbows setting him off, the look upon her face and in her mind telling her all he needed to know. He shook his head, gently moving himself away from Ariel before he staggered to his feet and staggered drunkenly closer to her. His eyes burned now, ached with sorrow and pain as he eyed her. He couldn't control his powers, his lips blurting out her name without a thought. "Hesper." He mumbled, smiling automatically though it was small and faint. He reached out to her, pressing his hot lips against her shoulder in greetings (his thoughts in and out, his mind there and gone). "Micah." Her father's name echoes off his lips, his eyes darkening as that pain ripped through his heart again. "So sorry." He mumbled again, now staggering away from her. Kolun followed him, careful of his drunken weave.
When her head thumped softly against the ground, she awoke and opened her eyes to lay there and listen to her father. She watched him make his way to the filly, her own eyes apprehensive as she got to her own feet with a wince of pain.
"Go away." He mumbled as she touched his shoulder, his eyes darkening and becoming briefly coherent as he stared at his daughter. "Go to Ni. Start over. Hypathia will take care of you." When she didn't move, his teeth clacked close to her face and she darted, fear overwhelming her. She had never seen her father like this. She ached to stay but never had she disobeyed his words. She made her way to the deserts of Ni.
He swung his head away to look at the girl. "Who is this Master Ern?" He says strangely lucid now as he is finally drawn away from the memories of Solira burning again and hellcats as they clawed at his body and his insides. He turned his head slightly to her, peering at her with only one eye and smelled the woods of Andarin on her. He shuddered slightly, legs buckling again with the effort and there he stays, though his eyes are focused upon her.
