Alcatraz flexed his muscled neck, bringing his powerful jaws towards his chest as he chewed on his still open wound absentmindedly. He brushed the scabbed wound with the tip of his nose, pulling back his lips to reveal his teeth that gripped the scab and ripped it from his body.

Pain, brilliant, untamed pain flared up through his brain.

His eyes twitched in a wince as the agony rose, yet his teeth still scraped ruthlessly against his chest.

Minions. Fiends. He thought, and the Shard pressed in the back of their minds. Cyan’s mind. Memphis’ mind. Wicked’s mind. Aquila’s mind. I have called you once, and now, you must obey. The words, though unspoken, snarled through their brains with sinister clarity.

His eyes fell on Strandwolf. A malicious smile spread across his grey features. His dark eyes lit up with impish delight. Ahh, our first test.. He didn’t like Strandwolf much.

But mostly, he just didn’t like Ni’Srilan.

Blitzstrahl, he thinks.

And the lightning came obligingly, thundering overhead like a shrieking warhead. It roared and swelled and plummeted down upon the Viper like a vorpal bird of prey. The cacophony was earth-shattering; Alcatraz stepped closer as the lights and noise thundered and swirled around the form of the Ni’Srilan native.

The shard pressed in his brain, a violent and forceful pressure in the back of his head, and in his slave’s. Destroy, kill. And Alcatraz gladly obeyed.
