He felt the bitterness in the other’s voice – the careful scrounging for a hint of a grudge against the feather-head. Part of him wanted to please the formidable creature and offer his similar distaste for the said featherhead, but part of him knew all too well that it had nothing to do with the Falconblade. He rolled his shoulders, a non-committal sigh escaping his lips like a sonic-boom.

“No, not because of love-sick Birdbrain.” He recalls the reason why he left Solira. They are very obvious. There are many reasons.

“I have no alliance to a kingdom run by a traitor.” He looked at Kurai, his ambiguous answer rang with clear contempt. He did not need to elaborate that he did not like Saphira very much.

But let’s be honest. He had lost connection with Solira well before the two birdbrains came to its watery shores. Before Ozymandias, even. Before that ridiculous ascension to the throne. He reclined his head slightly to the side, viewing the world slanted. He looked ridiculous, but he liked it.

Let’s just say he has a certain inclination to a short attention span. Solira got boring, very fast. He’s not very happy unless he’s causing trouble.

“But you do not like Alshain.” His voice was sharp like the cutting edge of shattering glass. Alcatraz had the remarkable ability to address people in a scathing tone without ever raising his voice. Once more, the Savage’s eyes flashed with the recognizable evil he was so easily capable of. He knew his new-found dragon-friend would recognize it instantly. Alcatraz is malicious – but like the wolf he possesses an uncanny cunning. Alcatraz is the predator posing as a housepet.

“You have plans.” For the destruction of Saphira and Alshain. And Solira. “I want in.”

Oh yes. He can predict a remarkable friendship with this scaly fiend.
