It would make sense that Joh would be Fenrisulfr’s daughter – they are very similar, and manage to survive despite a lack of common sense. Kurai won’t harm Fenris’s daughter – Fenris, who may possibly be the only actual friend he has. If he’s capable of making friends, if his “bonding capabilities’ aren’t entirely fossilized after all these millennia under the sedimentary weight of too many years of observation and malevolence.

Well, look – now he’s got another one.

“You don’t bother me,” he says absently, and it is more a statement of a fact than any sort of sentiment.

“The Lightning is drawn to you,” he observes, feeling her own infant static and the way that it seems to draw all other Lightning in the area toward her. His own is aware of it – the sleeping demon of Stupefy stirring beneath his metal scales – and he wonders what kind of force she’ll be when she learns to master it.

“I met your mother when she was a bit younger than you. She’s changed much, though I haven’t.” mentally – anyway. He wasn’t all that scaly back then. “But I tend not to.” he shrugs.

“will you have your own kingdom someday, too, then?”

He asks, musing half to himself – it will seem like no time at all before Joh is fully grown, and he will likely still be here, nightmare of Desreal and they will still only speak his name and never see him, a veritable Loch Ness Monster who only matters to those he kills and those who face the immediate prospect of confronting him.
