Utterly thrilled to be leaving the mountains, moving beside the firestarter without much care in the world, Voraer is utterly dumbfounded to find the speckled Lycoris abruptly before them. Letting Baraqel continue home Voraer promises not to linger, swaying to a halt before barreling into Lycoris as she impedes his path. The fury has left him, for now, though his fire rumbles and blazes within him as it feels her air and sizzles around his brief anger at being deterred even longer; by her of all horses. She begins at once, screaming at him like some nagging wife. Mirth only flickers in his steel eyes, the amusement twitching at the corners of his whiskered lips. Oh, did he finally get to her? Oh goody. Her words did little to keep his rage away for long as was typical for the dynamite constructed stallion.
”I didn’t want your god damn help!” He roared, his tone furiously higher than hers as it rumbled from his chest. His teeth clicked shut, lips pressing into a frowning line. His shoulder was still red where the hairs had been peeled away by the tree. ”And I certainly don’t need any help if it involves licking.” His face twisted into disgruntled lines, his ears folding beneath his copper mane. Could she not understand his position? Embarrassed and ashamed at having run into a tree, prisoner because of his most recent failure, in a strange land he had no desire to be in; and her all bubbly and bright never helped.
He lowered his blazed muzzle, gray eyes flashing with his rage as he scowled heavily at her pouting lips. His tangled tail swished across his dust swept haunches, splashing red against red. ”And I sure as hell don’t give a damn about your feelings wolf.” He sighed in exasperation, the bite lost from his tongue now as he eyed her skeptically. ”Why did you follow me here Lycoris?” He sounded tired as he asked it. He was tired of wolves and mountains and trivial frivolous matters. He had endured her as well as he could beneath Fenris’ control, and while annoying she had been at least mind-numbingly time consuming. He didn’t think he would lash out at her now as he had originally tended, holding back his vengeance to skin every wolf in the place only at Fenris’ warning. But out here there was little keeping him at her side, little holding him back. What was she expecting of him?
