Stupid! Now, that wasn't nice. It was an easy mistake to make-- and one that suited him, in a way. If people expected little of Lithium, they certainly wouldn't expect any subtle actions he made in his own favor.
Era's comments seemed to fall on deaf ears, at least in terms of their intended effect. At such a sharp reply, Lithium stood a little straighter, and looked, if anything, more amused. Taking things seriously was not a talent he possessed.
"Well, now." Lithium replied, prancing closer. "I would say that's a matter of opinion, isn't it? Some fish are beautiful, bright, and.." he put his head down slightly, "partial to warm waters. And," He paused, feigning a very serious and solemn look, "Still others would call wolves cowardly, covered in fleas, and fond of picking on solitary hunters. Is it weakness they seek, or easy game, because they can't handle something.." this time, he feigned an inability to find the right words, "their own size?" He laughed, shaking his head lightly-- Lithium, ever the optimist, still meant well. "But I'm sure you two lovely ladies don't fit that stereotype." As he said that, he directed his gaze at Era, and if he could've, he would've raised an eyebrow.
