The little bay mare didn’t know what she expected to gain from this experience. There was a probable reason that she had never met her father and why her mother had never mentioned him. It’s awful to have to find out from someone you hardly know who your father was, and not even know his name. BETRAYAL. She had rolled the name several times over in her mind, trying to picture him, but she could not.
There seemed to be a good reason why.
CAOIMHE stood, stark still as she spotted the duel colored stallion ahead of her. She thought for a moment to run, but all she could manage to do was take a deep breath and meekly whisper one word. The small mare felt pathetic. She was however not prepared for the next event. Startled she watched as a crackle of electricity burns its way across the snow and toward her legs embedded in it. There wasn’t really anything she could do, she couldn’t run, she had sought him out… CAOIMHE gritted her teeth as the electricity crawled up her legs and snaked its way about her body. It hurt and she yelped in pain as it stretched across her burning her water away from her skin.
Her eyes searched the painted figure before her, she could feel the tears burning against her eyes as she felt the lightening finally dissipate from her body. The rigidness she felt while the electricity traveled across her was evidently lost as her muscles slacked and she felt as though she might collapse to her knees into the snow. There were a few char marks scattered across her body that her water swirled about cooling them. CAOIMHE was confused…and yet she wasn’t. She had heard rumors about what her father had become, what he was apart of, this frightened her at the same time intrigued her.
She hears her mother’s name spill from his lips and watches his eyes as they travel behind her. There would be no one there to help her, CAOIMHE knew this already. A shudder crept across her body as his eyes returned to her and that smile, it bothered her somehow. She kept her eyes focused on him however, and when he spoke she nodded and replied in a tiny voice. “Yes, I am…” Her voice growing more confident in the last few syllables.
CAOIMHE wasn’t quite sure what else to say, she stared at her father for a few moments longer before she decided on how to approach the situation. “You’re not a very nice individual are you?” It was a bold question, and she stared him right in the eyes as she spoke. There were rumors she’d heard, and the longer she looked at her father the more and more she believed them.
it's a beautiful lie, it's a perfect denial
