spirits that walk for a thousand years;
here them calling on that darkest morning;
pulling me under, my thoughts dissapear;
The shard claws it’s way forward from her shoulder, the snake coiling, until a glint of murky white appears on black. To a normal eye it might look like just another patch, but to him, he will know the truth. They had more in common than either of them had once thought. She is silent as she closes the gap between them, her air swirling around them. It reaches out to touch him tentatively, and it offers him no pain. Merely a gust of gentle wind across his molten skin. Sapphire and ice tinted eyes meet fire opal. Niece and Uncle together again. Odd to put it into such blatant terms. Family. Saphira actually had a member who shared her blood, that she did not loathe with everything she had. Interesting.
“Stelios… I have done something terrible.”
it is just a faint whisper, lingering on wind that isn’t truly even there. She does not know if he will hear her, so she moves closer. Her forehead presses into the ice cold tip of his horn, and her eyes close heavily. She almost wishes he didn’t hear her, but somehow she knows he did. Perhaps he has already heard about the murder of Datura, and the Rennervation that left her half alive. Perhaps he had heard how she left Solira, unable to watch it die under the power mongering hand of their Maggot King. But perhaps not, and maybe one day, she would tell him. She would tell him now if he asked it of her, perhaps it would be of use to the Andarin King. Alas, another if.
“I believe I owe you a belated congratulation on your Silver. Well done Uncle.”
The use of the family word is her unspoken admittance and acceptance of him into her bloodline. Into the family she has only known how to hate. But it seemed he was going to change that outlook, or at least we hope. Her eyes open finally, and she draws away. Allowing him some space from her Air element, even though it had been suppressed by the more heavily guarded water and lightning.
the siren;
the keeper;
water III + lightning III + air III
you can hold the darkness from you;
if the will is very strong;
but that whisper always haunts you;
cannot change the Siren's Song.
