He nearly choked when he saw her; he remembered her too from Ilius, but he never expected her to be here. After he had fled Enipeus (though he loved it, Phlegethon too) he didn’t know what to do. And he had found this place and found a strangeness about it he didn’t recognize. Wind.
He had been enchanted with the Element that he didn’t have in Ilius, and now, he never wanted to go back. Not because of the elements, but because he hated Enipeus more than he hated Phlegethon, hated the fights and loathed the gods (though he has heard there is only one now?). Ilius to him was a tarnished land, beriddled with horses like Lethia (how he had wanted to kill her) or Alshain. It was true, he missed his family. But he had grown apart from them too.
He started when he saw her, narrowing his eyes she came up behind him. “No.” He said mulishly, lacing his ears back as he thought of his birth-place with nothing more than derision. “But I like it better here.” He thought of those he had met from Ilius, those he had known that had come here.
“I met him earlier.” He noted the hatred and rage in her voice, and was intrigued by it. His own voice had the cutting property of glittering glass, sharp, cold edges.
“Do you hate our father?”
