spirits that walk for a thousand years;
here them calling on that darkest morning;
pulling me under, my thoughts dissapear;
Saphira does not go to him, but waits as he becomes clearer by each passing second. Golden eyes meet sapphire for the first time. His fire rolls off him, blazing. Her water stretches forward, yearning to touch, to squelch. The shard whispers to her He came, the last piece. The last blood. Drink Saphira, and be free of your cravings. Drink! Saphira cannot refuse, doesn’t want to. The song pulls him nearer, offering him everything he has ever desired, and more. Saphira reaches out damp skin meeting flames. Her lips run across the heated flesh of his cheek, whispering softly into his ear.
“You came... Now you are mine.”
The last word seems to echo, as if added by another voice. Her lips peel back, revealing her bloodstained teeth. They grasp, tear, and drink. His fire blood igniting down her throat, pulsating into the shard. The final piece, the puzzle complete. The shard rejoices, followed by more pain. It shudders through her, and for a single moment the shard ignites from the outside. A blinding light flashes before it dims. It whispers to Saphira I am awake. Good job my beautiful Siren. But your job is only beginning.
Saphira turns to look at the stranger, the song releasing. This time to be fed by the power of the shard. The pull of it’s activation and it’s ties to Saphira through him. She steps closer, water rolling over the wound, washing away the blood. She draws back, knowing his discomfort. And you can see the pain in her eyes, she is sorry. You have no idea.
“I am Saphira, who are you Seer?”
She smiles softly, her heart thumping against her ribs. She feels sick, what has she done?!
GOLD: S A P H I R A
the siren;
keeper;
water III + lightning III + air III
you can hold the darkness from you;
if the will is very strong;
but that whisper always haunts you;
cannot change the Siren's Song.
