spirits that walk for a thousand years;
here them calling on that darkest morning;
pulling me under, my thoughts dissapear;
In a wave of fury and defiance a great bolt of lightning forks the ground between them. The lightning dominating her water element, Saphira’s water running down her body to flood beneath Hypatia’s fire. Thwarted on both ends of the elemental scale. Her sapphire eyes change, fleck with shards of ice. She takes a step forward, and all is lost. She places herself forcefully between the two figures, and runs her muzzle along Centurions cheek. Water floods across his body, cooling the sting of flames. She turns on the desert Queen, loathing in her eyes.
“You will never touch him like that again. He is MINE.”
The anger rolls off her in waves, flooding around them. Saphira takes a step back, and whispers a single word.
“Rennervate.”
Bodies/illusions/ghosts swarm around her. The create a wall, stronger than concrete between the bonded pair and Hypatia. She can see faces, hears voices of those she has lost. They torment her, swarm ever closer. Driving her back. Her diadem will not save her now. Lightning sparks across the veil, and Saphira smirks. Turning once again to Centurion. She traces a wave across his shoulder, allowing it to roll across his flesh. Soothing.
“There, she will not bother us anymore. You may return to Ni’Srilian if you wish, or you may remain here, with me for now. But know you cannot stay, Desreal is not for you. I need you to gain ranks, be granted a title. You will do this for me wont you? You will return to Ni’Srilian, and when you do, you will do as Hypatia needs, until I call on you.”
She smiles and takes a step back. Oh if only you knew. Saphira walks through the veil and looks at Hypatia with disdain. .
“You will leave him alone Hypatia. To force him will only make matters worse. His loyalty to me is far greater, and every word said against us will push him from you. I am sorry.”
And the odd thing was Oracle, she meant it. Turning she fades once more into the veil.

the siren
you can hold the darkness from you;
if the will is very strong;
but that whisper always haunts you;
cannot change the Siren's Song.
