Saphira knows the moment she feels a familiar gust of wind, that she is forgiven. She turns, her sapphire eyes locking on his silver outline and mercury eyes. She smiles almost wistfully, and forces herself not to run to him, to throw herself into his arms. Figuratively speaking. She draws along side of him, a soft smile sweeping across her lips. So different now that he was here, than in her weakest moment when she had taken Datura’s life. She presses her lips against his dappled skin, tracing the familiar pattern of a wave, and watched as it rolled across his skin. Saphira hesitates, she does not want to be away from him, but she needs space between herself and the pulsating air she feels under his skin. The shard screams for it, but she denies it it’s hunger. Not him, not this one.

Her eyes once again meet his, her smile all but faded in her struggle. His voice almost brings tears to her eyes, but she fights them back. They would be together for eternity, somehow. She would never leave him again, and she would make sure no one ever took him away. She would kill them all for him. Everyone. He is right to fret about Kurai, but he was no match for the Siren. Not now, not anymore, never again. Her voice quavers as it leaves her lips, forcing the song to remain silent.

“Alshain.”

Her voice is almost a whisper, but in that word, it said more than anything ever could. She wanted him, forever and always by her side. But at what cost to him? To watch as she become a monster, craved his blood? Her eyes closed with disgust as the shard whispered for her to take him. Her eyes open, and she looks at him through thick lashes, sapphire eyes pleading.

"I could not live any other way. You are my life; I would do anything to be with you. But I fear for you…”

She did not know how else to phrase it. She would take him with all his flaws that made him perfect. Her falcon scar opened silently, blood dripping from her chest. Oh yes, she would do anything for you. There is no mistake in that. To hell with the vegetables, and you have yourself a deal!
