first the tempermental goat,
the snail while he's feeding on the rose.
through her body a cold electric shiver stirs, and it dies down moments or so after; she feels the pull and push of element and shard- of power weaving together and working in a most virulent manner. she quietly turns her head and gazes into the shadows, water dripping down her neck and body. earth is raging, shivering at her feet and causing tiny things to tumble and sway, she chuckles as small fawns crumble and collapse from imbalance. alas she smiles, purring and watching as a hapless doe drinks; drinks so freely from the stream (and quietly in rhythm she wields water upon it) and soon is forced to succumb to her rather murderous whim. the things drowns and dies; shivering even in death and its body stripped hungrily by the voracious jaws of her raptor companion. the shard speaks to her in a silent whisper and gaia ignores it, gaia instead commands it, causing the thing to quiver beneath her flesh.
it is a single sound which distracts her, one that causes her to deviate and gaze into the quiet cold rivers. she sees ripples, she sees a silent electric shock passing through the water in a most serpentine manner. in a moment of closed eyes a breath exhales, and her body turns; she does not alter her body or allow herself to slip into her earthy guise- simply she stays as she is. storm gray and with white hairs frosting her legs and underbelly; her stringy black mane and tail matted with flower vines and mud; her body filthy with the earth she so commands. even the half white part of her face is dusty; but alas it is her eyes- those clear eyes which are not. "hello, keeper," she says, her lips pulling into a smile, and her teeth just visible once. she is a grim and cheshire beast, her eyes opening as she looks upon him with nearly immeadiate desire.
hunger fills her shard, calling and crying as it longs for its brother. she feels it burning and searing beneath her skin; it quivers and shakes, cutting as she bleeds. the thorned rose scar is on fire; her hip swayed and gentle water flowing over to cool, but failing. she does not approach, she moves once but only to ease herself into a more comfortable standing position- her raptor however ruffles its feathers and puffs them out, bearing its teeth and snapping at the air with a strange noise. it is a creature most peculiar, leaping effortlessly to her side and snapping its whiplike tail in the air, Ayela tries to communicate but she finds herself able to only do so with her Gaia. silently the primordium breathes and in that moment she breathes; "I think you've lived long enough," she chuckles, "do you want to go easily or try and fight it?"
