Well fine if you want to go at it that way.
“Corrigan.” He says at random, knowing it isn’t one she probably wants to hear but he says it anyways because she keeps prodding him for information. He can be open with her about it though because she is, in a way, a part of his family. A grand daughter of sorts, he supposes, then again, she’s just a tad more then that—her morals are about as twisted as his are.
And that? That’s worrisome.
“He hurt his father.” But his voice suggests something more, as if the boy’s damage went so much farther than just to Rook. “And others.” The sideward glance he gives her should be clear enough indication. “You know I didn’t take you away from Ni’Srilan to punish you Oh, (he calls her ‘O’ as in ‘Oh!’) you don’t seem to belong in a viper pit. I just can’t see you with snakes.”
Another pause, “Well, I can’t see period but that isn’t the point. The point is, I see a lot of myself inside of you.”
Oh, that came out wrong.
“Er…” Choke’s water goes cold for a brief moment as he rephrases himself. “You remind me of myself when I first arrived to the Element, long before the stone was broken. Would you like to hear a story?” And he nips again, fidgeting as always, his bruised fruit of a face looks at her now inquisitively, the mantis green eyes shining and the boyish grin on his face wide and honest.
